The Maharajas Express was launched in January 2010 - this is the newest luxury train of Indian Railways, one of the most expensive trains in Asia.

The train consists of two dining restaurants, designed for a full five dining service, each with a capacity of 42 guests at a time, so that all guests have lunch together.
The train has the state of one car kitchen designed to provide a variety of cuisines. The restaurants are named Rang Mahal restaurants and Mayur Mahal restaurants.
The Maharajas express food menu includes traditional Indian cuisine along with continental, Chinese and international dishes.
A dedicated transportation bar, Maharajas express Safari Bar, offers wines, liqueurs, spirits and beer along with snacks and starters and a lounge cum bar called Raj Club equipped with a multilingual library and board games reigns a relaxed lounge experience.
